Thank you for visiting Nelson Jewish Community’s website.

We are a diverse group of people who get together to share our lives with other Jewish people in the region. We have members with varying upbringings ranging from traditional to more progressive Jewish backgrounds. Often only one spouse is Jewish.

Our ethos is for us to have mutual respect of each others roots, we focus on our common Jewish thread and try to be as inclusive as possible.

We regularly meet for a shared “pot-luck” meal , one Friday evening a month as well as for various festivals throughout the year. If you live in Nelson or are simply visiting the region, please do get in touch. We’d love to hear from you.
